Plexamp on Headless Pi & Tidal

I have Plexamp installed and running on a headless Raspberry Pi with DAC. Everything works great when I am playing back music stored in my Plex Library.

I also have a Tidal subscription and thought I would try it out. I see that Plexamp and iOS both support Tidal. However, when I use my iPhone to connect to my Plexamp Raspberry Pi, I am unable to playback any Tidal content.

Is this functionality supported. If not is it something that is going to be added?

Yeah, we’d like to support that! We’ll see if we can make a new build for the Pi. Just ran into this last night myself trying to play some annoying Christmas music for the wife

Great to hear! I will keep an eye out for an updated Pi build.

Ahh super! I was about to ask the same thing. Would be awesome to have this before Christmas for the same obvious reason

Is there an any news on this? It would be awesome to be able to do.

Just doing some testing on it locally, shouldn’t be too long :crossed_fingers:

Sounds good, looking forward to it

Thanks

I cannot connect to plexamp on the pi. I checked status and it is running. Is there more that needs to be copied than just the server.json

Shouldn’t be.

Then it isn’t working as expected. Any chance of a headless Linux other than the pi.

I have the beta installed on my pi and it will stream from plex just fine. However, when I try to stream content from Tidal through plex it says that playback to external players is no supported. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

You’d need to use Plexamp desktop to control it at the moment, until other controllers add the required functionality.
