Remote Control of Tidal via Android App on Plexmp or PMP

Any update on if/when we will be able to play our Tidal Music via PMP or Plexamp but remotely controlled from the Android App?

Plex has been my go to music server for my HD music for a while now, it runs fairly flawlessly when controlled via the Android App. Just signed up for the Tidal trial and was bummed to find out I couldn’t control PMP or Plexamp to from my Pixel 2 when playing Tidal tracks. I have my server running on my NUC which is connected to my HIFI system so its nice to use the app as a remote on my phone. If you can get this functioning you will be close to competing with ROON for me. Hopefully this update will be coming along soon, either for PMP or Plexamp.

Yes, i would like to know this, too.

I run Plex Media server on an UnRaid box and watch media on a 2.2m projector screen. I don’t want to have to turn on my projector and lower the screen just to choose and play my music! I must use my phone to control Plex in this instance. If I can’t, Tidal is pretty useless to me.

May we have an update, please?

Many thanks

+1. My main listening devices are Rasplex headless clients, one hooked into my main stereo and one for my main headphone rig. In neither case can I play Tidal tracks. So it’d been disappointing to have this Tidal integration being hyped up, and getting excited about its possibilities, only to then realize with a bitter sinking feeling that’s it nothing you can actually use.

Rasplex won’t get the necessary updates, if no developer is picking up the project.
(Rasplex is not an official Plex client)

If you are ok with a little tinkering, you can try the current alpha version of headless Plexamp for raspberry pi (you better get a separate SD card, so you can switch back easily to rasplex).
