Yeah, Plex is definitely an issue here.

This isn’t true. I use Mac to host my server. No recent updates or changes. Plex remote access doesn’t work for me either anymore since Thursday or Friday last week. This is a Plex issue. I’d be happy to provide logs as soon as a mod chimes in.
I just checked mine. I am on windows 7 still and I have remote access on my android phone. I checked access specifically from a cellular connection as well as local on the wifi.
I have tested using the same method and still no dice here. It is worth noting the server reports a Double NAT scenario due to the way my ISP provides internet here, but all of the ports are open on their switch, and I have no had issues with remote streaming even with this condition in the past. Nothing has changed with the ISP in the last few days, so I do not attribute this issue to the double NAT. Also I bypass my personal router (except to access the NAS, via a second ethernet jack with a private IP), and connect directly to the ISP router directly, so there technically shouldn’t be a double NAT.
So far I have tried turning off all firewalls from the computer to the router. I’ve tried cleaning up all the junk/cache files. I reinstalled the latest (beta) version of Plex, 1.13.9.5439, (I was previously on the latest public stable build). I am on OSX 10.13.6 (High Sierra). This is pretty much all of the local trouble shooting I can do. So I highly suspect something is up with Plex. Perhaps there will be resolution after the weekend.
EDIT: Local streaming works just fine as long as I’m on my personal network.
This thread has devolved into a me too without the least bit of understanding. This problem is not a remote plex issue. All of you that jumped on this thread claiming that issue, thanks, but this thread is not about that issue. This thread is about first and foremost, a fouled up server that cannot be accessed on the local network from a separate machine. If you can’t access it from a separate machine on the same network, there is no way you can access it remotely. That is a networking 101 fact.
“If you can’t access it from a separate machine on the same network, there is no way you can access it remotely. That is a networking 101 fact.”
You should be careful with your networking facts then, as my plex is available remotely but internal devices cannot access it …
Congrats for failing networking 101. Your lack of understanding that Plex uses the same connection for internal and external (via port forwarding) wins you prize of the year. Thanks for taking a cheap potshot without backing up your claim with details of your configuration.
But hey, you keep on being you.
I think the cheap shot came from you regarding “networking 101”, but would you turn your Networking 101 skills to something useful instead of berating other users, and solve this for me then Windows Server - Can’t connect locally over Wifi
