HELP choosing hardware

Hi all

Ok I have plex media server for a while now and love it.

I’m getting ready to CUT THE CORD! and already ordered a HD Antenna. that should get me between 4 and 8 OTA stations where I live.

My PC host media server and I plan to use it to store the TV show recorded. I will get the plex pass, of course. So, do I need a tuner WITH DVR? or just the tuner?

Since we have 2 TV what tuner would you guys suggest?

Check out silicon dust tuners work well for OTA, make sure you get a good antenna and please ground everything…

I’m leaning toward one of these 2 (2 tv setup and Chromecast “FINALLY SUPPOSE TO WORK”)

What platform are you using???

IF you’re using a computer with a PCIe x1 port, check out the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD. For $122 you get 4 tuners in a simple to install card that is supported directly by PLEX, without having ‘stuff’ dangling from your computer. You just connect your COAX from an HD antenna, scan for channels in the DVR set-up, and you’re done.
