This is driving me insane. I’ve toggled UPnP, disabled the firewall, set permissions galore and I still cannot connect remotely to my DiskStation on the go. Any help would be very appreciated.

Did you create a port forward rule in your router settings that uses TCP, port 32400 and points to your NAS IP Address?Did you give the NAS a static IP address or use DHCP Reservation to assign the IP address for the NAS?
Have you enabled
Manually specify public portin Plex settings > server > remote access > show advanced using port 32400 and clicked on apply and then ‘Save Changes’?
I’ll have to go into my router settings again tonight. I’m at work.
I’m new the the NAS DSM world - Not sure how to give the NAS a static IP in DSM - but I did go into Control Panel/External Access/DDNS and created a external IP that I could plug into Plex for IOS settings/advanced/server connections. Trouble is when I input that IP it comes back with “Unable to add connection Error code: -1001”
I have tried enabling Manually specify public port in plex sttings/server/remote access/show advanced using port 32400 apply/save
I really appreciate your advice. I’m remote right now so I cannot launch plex remotely but I am able to access control panel on the diskstation. I’m going to give this all a try again tonight.
Funny thing is - is that the DSM comes with DSM Audio and it works flawlessly at home or away.
trumpy81 - thanks you’re the best. I’m in
