Help! Old Plex Media server removal from account/New DSM server "Not Autherized"

I have old Plex Media server that seem to be stuck attached to my account.
This server is long gone and so are the data with them. Machines retired, they were just tests I ran when I was comparing Jelly fin to Plex years ago.

I can not seem to find a way to removal it from my account on iOS app.
Through Browser I dont see any servers but through iOS app I can see the old server as offline.

I have tried the change password and sign out of all devices, I have gone to the Authorized devices page on browser and it’s not there. There is no option to remove it in iOS that I have found.

I have been trying to create a new Plex Media Server on a Synology 920+ NAS and it creates the server and starts, I have set permissions for internal user to full control, but I can not access the server via browser or any other device even if I try to manually connect via iOS and ip/port #.

I do not have a paid account as I was trying to test plex on the NAS and resolve any issues prior to purchasing. Do I need to have a paid account to fix this???

I’m at the point of getting ready to delete the account and start over with a new email address but I’m afraid the NAS server after being installed and logging into this account may be associated with this account now too and no way to remove it. Any other suggestions?

Deleting your account will not help.

For the iOS app, try deleting it and re-installing on your iPhone/iPad.

You need to use RFC-1918 compliant private IP addressing.

  • 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
  • 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
  • 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

Change the Synology to use a RFC 1918 address & reboot the NAS.

You can then claim the server (add it to your account) by going to http://syno_ip_address:32400/web from a device on the same network as the NAS.

Thanks you. I Remapped my entire network and all devices to a more common scheme and presto Synology Plex media server works. Thank you again for taking the time even though your a Ford Guy… lol JK. Owned my fair share of them as well.
