Hi to anyone who will listen…Mac Mini running High Sierra 40Tb Thunderbolt storage. I deleted the movie from the drive directly. So far so good. I go to plex and try to delete and it says. There was a problem deleting this file and it stays. Since then no new files can be updated even though there have been a bunch added from different folders. All media plays except this one file of course. I have many users and friends added. I want to be able to update. I tried the following.
Using the Finder’s “Go” menu, select Go To Folder… then enter the following in the dialog box that pops up:
~/Library
From there, remove the following two locations:
~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/
~/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer/
No luck. The server came up exactly the same. I added new server folders for movies and Tv shows. They fail to update and I have them pointing to the same folders the others were accessing. Now I can’t delete any of the folders. Something is corrupt.
My main goal is to keep my user’s settings and rebuild the server. I am pretty technical but after reading through the forums I feel more like a step above noob. Take it easy on me. Plex pass holder for 6 years. Plex is my life. Just want to save the server. I can export any log file that may seem helpful.
Thanks so much in advance.
