I’m all up to date. Everything plays nice for 2 days and then shuts down. I can access my library from my phone or a computer, but am unable to access from my Samsung TV, or PlayStation apps.
I’ve checked everything on the generic help 101 page, no help.
What update channel are you using (public vs. beta)?
Up-to-date can mean different versions for those two.
If the Plex Media Server itself remains accessible to your other clients, the problem could be related to the network or client apps.
Would you mind sharing some more details about those?
Have you checked if this could be related to a network issue (as you can still access the server from your other clients on the same network)?
Could be the devices are on a separate subnet or your PMS getting a different local IP address from your router’s DHCP server that causes those 2 clients to no longer find it.
how’s your home network setup?
you have a modem/router connecting to the internet – how are your devices connected to that (in particular the machine running your Plex Media Server and those 2 streaming devices)?
wired/wireless
directly connected to the router or are there other network components (e.g. a dedicated wireless access point (or a whole mesh of them)?
Correct… there’s a Plex Pass feature in the Network settings of your Plex Media Server. There you can enter IP addresses of a sibling/child subnet for Plex to consider it part of your LAN.
