HELP: Plex "on deck" and "continue watching" section not updating; Lifetime Plex Pass member

I have been using using plex for years…and am a lifetime plex pass member. Started noticing that my “on deck” and “continue watching” sections are not updating for plex no matter where i access them from (browser, android app, ps4) i tried searching online for answers but haven’t found anything. Any advice I can get to fix this issue would help ! Thanks

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

Logs have been uploaded here. Let me know what you find. Thanks!

I haven’t found any hints at database corruption in your logs.

Is this one of those items?

Not understanding your question.

If the database isnt corrupted…how can i fix this issue? I just need to make sure that my “on-deck” and “c ontinue watching” sections are being updated as i watch shows and movies etc.

You say “on deck” and “continue watching” are not updated anymore.
Does that mean

  • they are completely empty
  • or does it means there are some items on there, which are “stuck”?

“hole” is the song i have been playing in my music library. It is currently set to pause. It does not show in the continue watching or on deck items. Im only seeing shows and movies that i watched a couple of weeks ago (not current)

those sections have items in them…( movies and shows) but they just have not been updated in two or three weeks. Not sure why. Only thing i can think of is that i bought a plex lifetime pass but that should not affect this issue.

Any advice?

On Deck shows partially watched or the next unwatched episode for TV. Continue watching show partially watched movies or TV episodes.

Neither have music

the shows should be updating though

Could you please post the content of the Plex XML info of one or two of these items please?

Are you using the actual Plex Media Player or the Plex Web app?

@BigWheel and @OttoKerner ,

Not sure what happened, but all of a sudden my shows and my movies are now updating in the “continue watching” section. i have been watching shows for weeks and this hasnet updated. Maybe restarting the Plex media server did the trick.

I am using the Plex Media Player on my PS4 to watch the shows (but the continue watching was not updating on the browser or my android app).
