I recently reinstalled Plex in a new VM, the installation went fine, I can access the new server from its IP, I’ve signed in to my Plex account, but the new server isn’t showing in the settings (left is what the settings should look like, right is all I’m getting) Thanks a lot, been trouble shouting this for hours.
Hi Hands_Plex_Server,
Ah that is interesting. So you’re connected to that PMS via LAN, it shows up with the normal interface but hides itself. Now, what if you try to log out of your account? Basically turning it off and on again the Plex way. And then follow this support article by Plex strictly and tell me if and where it fails.
Hi,
I reset my password and resigned in, no dice. I still am missing the “settings” and “managed” tabs for my server. I looked at the support link you sent and I never went through a “server setup” screen but I can still connect over ip, so I don’t know why I cannot get to my server settings… (a.k.a I access the server via the url (http://ip:32400/) and I immediately go to the Plex main page, I never get to the “Server Setup” UI shown in your link.
So you wouldn’t lose any data if you reinstalled the server once more? And this time try to stay tight to the instructions and tell me whether and where it deviated from the expected behavior.
