Hi i am trying to find the option in Settings to enable movie and tv for the new free service but f i run the plex app on my PC from task bar the option is not available
But if i run it from web Based example from https://app.plex.tv/desktop the option is there but none of them will show on my TV apps i know ive got something wrong can anyone help ? thank you
you should make sure that your server and client apps are signed into the same accounts @ Plex Web
the web admin of your local server has not been updated to have movies/tvs, that is why plex web is needed.
all the client app should be updated to the latest available to see the movies/tv.

hi seems ok now think the iphone app is showing the free movies just not TV based apps

If these TVs are running the old Smart TV client, it does not have this feature and probably will not get it. https://support.plex.tv/articles/204080173-which-smart-tv-models-are-supported/
Thanks guys all working now yes my tv apps are on tvs not new enough i hope the apps have a new update soon
On my Samsung TV with the latest App update, I get the Movies & TV on Plex option BUT I can only see the Whats Popular category, but if I look at Plex Web I can see multiple categories to choose from.
Any ideas? I cannot find any config settings that would affect this. Thanks
Smart TV apps currently only have a limited number of hubs; users cannot control which hubs. So for now, you won’t see the same hubs (or same number of hubs) on the Smart TVs as you do on other Plex apps/clients.
