Movies & TV not showing up on Plex player for Windows only when signing onto account via a browser. How can I get movies & TV to show up in the home portion on the plex player?

Came here to ask this question; maybe in a future update? (Not a satisfying answer I know, but Iâm bracing myself for that slight disappointment)

o.k. on manjaro 18.1.3 and wondering if there is an eta on this hitting the player? as far as iâm concerned if itâs on the web server / portal it should be port automatically to all other plex apps. if i go to plex on the tv am i going to get the new movies & tv section?
now that said i was and am very happy to see the addition. thumbs up on the move.

If you are using the web app, make sure to use the âhostedâ one: app.plex.tv
I am using plex for windows.
Video on Demand is not yet available on the desktop apps. You can see a complete list of apps it is available on here.
sri, what do you mean its still rolling out ?. The release email and link gives the impression its all up and running, nothing on there about a work in progress.

Whenever a major new feature is released, we roll out it on batches. It usually takes 1-2 hours for 100% of Plex accounts to get it. All that happened earlier this morning. We hit 100% deployment prior to those emails going out, so as long as you have a supported app, you should be good to go.

should that be the address the latest server install goes to?
No, itâs the address where you direct your web browser, to get the latest web app.
so why even create a icon in the startmenu. from what youâre saying would make more sense to install the latest and just have the bookmark and or speed dial in your browser. to be clicked once you launch your browser.

Precisely. The link in your start menu/task tray is mainly for first setup.
You can copy the link to start your web browser and append the command line with the URL of the hosted web app. This will give you a âPlexâ icon for your desktop or start menu.
ok got it clicking the shortcut PLEX created takes me to a totally different page. to be specific local host. will have to create a custom shortcut.

Excited about this new feature! Iâve already seen several titles Iâm excited to see, and the quality is 1080p!
Which brings me to my feature request:
We really need some sort of âAdd to watchlistâ, âBookmarkâ, or âAdd to playlistâ capability for content in this section!

how about a choice from 480 to 4k cause on the average monitor you canât tell the difference. i have a 29" wide screen 1080p monitor and 480 on it looks just as good as 1080p on the 60 hd tv does. being able to chose 480 or 720 saves bandwidth. thanks

âon friday i installed manjaro 18.1.3 and installed the plex server and player from their update manager. yesterday i was offer and did a update to the player. i launched it was back to the tv layout as default. i have never liked that view. i want it when i launch the player to see the other view, which i canât seem to find the name for. please anyway to stop the player from going back to tv layout and full screen on relaunch? thanksâ
