Plex on Samsung TV not updating movie list

Using Plex client on Android phone I can see vast listing under Movies & TV section, however when I use the Plex for Samsung App on my TV it only displays “Most Popular” category under Movies & TV and shows a list totalling 11 movies.

Each day that list seems to be reducing in size. I’ve only had this installed for about 3 days but I am wondering if there is a bug in version 4.15.2 Plex for Samsung?

I have a oroblem too since the last update 4.15.2 on my samsung tv 2019. When Plex start he doesnt load Plex Home setting and i’m stuck, i can’t use Plex with my Tv but with the PC everythings is Ok.

Have you tried reinstalling Plex from within the Samsung Apps menu?

What version of the Plex app do you have installed on your Samsung? What model year is your Samsung? 2016 or newer?

By same problem, do you mean you can’t see the Movies & TV in the navigation menu (on the left)? If so, then:

Are they under “More” (bottom of the left nav), then under “Plex”? See Edit the Navigation Sidebar from this support article:

Or do you mean that when you start Plex, you get an error:

“We were unable to load your Plex Home settings”

So on my laptop I can see loads of movies and in different genres etc.
On my tv all I see are 11 movies. That’s it.
There is no ‘more’ , no different genres. That’s just it.
It’s the exact same account, login. I even used the pincode to login to the tv app.
I think I have clicked on everything on the TV app, however nothing changes. It’s just 11 movies.

Yes that’s similar to my situation. My TV is a 2019 Samsung running Tizen 5.0 and the latest version of the Plex for Samsung

Just to clarify, The left menu does show Movies & TV as an option. When I select it I see Most Popular, which today has 10 movies listed.

A new addition today is the sub category called “Love is in the air” which houses 16 movies. This was not visible yesterday.

Also, when I select Home from the left menu, I normally had Plex Picks- Movies and TV as the top item. It now says Content Unavailable. A message reads “The content provider is working normally but did not return any content. The content may no longer be available”

Not sure what to make of it all. It seems to change each day, but on my laptop I can see hundreds of movies listed. Is this the same or similar for anyone else using a Samsung 2019 TV?

Smart TV apps currently only have a limited number of hubs; users cannot control which hubs. So for now, you won’t see the same hubs (or same number of hubs) on the Smart TVs as you do on other Plex apps/clients.

Some changes were supposed to have been pushed out; maybe it caused a bit of disruption?

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I presume the availability (or lack of) space is one reason the client is kept leaner in TVs.
