some dvds and blurays of shows i have , have 2 episodes together its just the way is was on the disc, so when i rip them, how do i get plex to see the correct order/naming of the episodes?

See the Multiple Episodes in a Single File section of the Naming & Organizing document. However, you’ll be much better off in the long run splitting the files into individual episodes. Plex handles individual episodes much better (details in support document).

yes i saw that but i mean say voyager season 1 “Star Trek_ Voyager - s01e01 Caretaker_ Parts 1 & 2”. , but it looks like its suppose to be s01e01 caretaker (1) s01e02 caretaker (2) also these arent mkv files.

Part 1 & 2 in a single file fits the multiple episodes in one file as shown in the documentation.
