After a recent update to the newest Beta build of PMS, I started to notice that the server would crash when anyone would attempt to play anything remotely from the server. Tonight, I gave up waiting for it to fix itself and decided to uninstall the Beta version and reinstall the Public release. However, the issue is still occurring after the downgrade. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me resolve this issue. I’ve attached the most recent PMS log prior to the crash as well as the two crash logs that occurred around that time. If there is anything else I would need to provide, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
There’s a known issue with hardware transcoding on Windows causing crashes at present:
It could be that remote access is triggering transcoding on your system and, if you have hardware transcoding enabled, you may be running in to this issue. Try disabling hardware transcoding to see if that helps until a fix is released:
Settings -> Transcoder -> Use hardware acceleration when available (uncheck)

Hi Phil,
Thanks so much. This appears to have resolved the issue. I’m able to run over data on my cell phone which is definitely promising. I really appreciate the help.
