Help with remote access

Okay so I have been trying to get Plex to work with Sonos I’ve come across multiple issues with Plex as a whole being able to enable this feature to get it working on Sonos, I have no double NAT, my computer running the server has a static IP address, my router has uPnP enabled and I’m port forwarding to external 50000 and internal 32400 as TCP protocol in my router. I have xfinity as my service provider and have disabled the advanced security feature. I have even tested it with the modem I’m bridge mode, if someone could help me get this system up and running it would be amazing. As Plex appears to be the only option for the music library if over 800 gigs of music in it to be able to stream.

the server will only do one or the other.

Did you add 50000 to the manually specify port field in the remote access settings?

Yes I added the 50000 as the manually specified port I have also disabled windows firewall and webroot security firewall to make sure they are not interfering and it just not working

The routers in my home are eero routers and my modem is an xfinity Arris tg3482g

Are you saying that you have to turn off UpNp if you are port forwarding?

No. I’m saying the server will only use one or the other. If you have something in the manually specify port field it is expecting port forwarding to be done. if nothing in that field it will use try to ping your router so you router configures via UPnP. Some routers may not be very good and can’t handle both at the same time. I’ve come across some that get confused when both are in use but most modern ones should be fine. port forwarding is the better choice in my opinion.

pretty sure that Arris is a modem/router combo. I’ve never used an Eero but where is lists the WAN IP it is showing your actual external IP or a DHCP address from the modem. You can seach google for “what is my IP” which should give your actual external to compare.

If you go to canyouseeme.org and plug in 50000 does it show as open?
