Help with Server Missing Issue

Server Version#: Unable to Identify as cannot access in settings
Player Version#: Unable to Identify as cannot access in settings

Hi
I am suddenly unable to access my media as Plex is saying the server cannot be reached. I cannot even get into the server settings.
I have review and done all the suggestions on the self-help pages. I have logged out and back in, I have restarted the Plex App/Server, Restart my PC, Restarted my Router, Disabled all VPN, Security and Firewalls, deleted Plex registry keys and more.
I have run out of ideas.

Anyone able to help with ideas to try or should I just reinstall and configure everything again?

Thanks!

Hi Christian

Thanks for replying.
I tried just now and same issue.

“The server is unreachable. Make sure it’s running, double check your network, and try again.”

I tried “localhost:32400” and the plex server IP address with port number 32400.
I still get

Can you check the size of the database (com.plexapp.plugins.library.db) ?
Location probably depends on installation type but mine is located in the folder PlexMediaServer/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
It is a similar issue I’m currently having. Force closing plex and restarting it will solve the issue temporary …

Hey Klaas_Ann-Sophie

Thanks for helping.
The db size is 194.291.kb
I have used the end task function in Task Manager to close the Plex server and still no luck :frowning:

An other thing I ran into is that, when I got a blank page, is to clear the cache and cookies of your browser but other than that, I can’t help you.

FYI
I managed to resolve this issue.
I had to manually back up Plex Media Server files and the Plex Registry settings.
I then completely uninstalled all Plex applications on my PC.
I installed a new clean version of Plex and then that allowed me see and to connect to my server again but obviously no libraries shown.
I then updated my Registry with the backed up Plex Registry and then started one by one replacing each backed up Plex Media Server folder (stopping and restarting Plex Media server each time). I found the issue appeared when I added the Plug-Ins folders so I just used the clean install Plug-Ins folders. I am now adding back my libraries and rescanning them. Whew, mission!
