Hi, setting up my plex media server on my Hetzner server. Getting "… is currently unavailable

Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online, or see our

tips for further assistance." claiming the server issues. Googling for an hour …then I find a reddit topic about Plex banning Hetzner IPs. Is this true? I have been a plex lifetime pass user for years, and I have no notice from Plex about this…

Is it true? Or is it only for the kids who did illegal things? Is it all Hetzner IPs? I find it hard to believe. To say nothing of the ban, why would they not have an error message stating something about “ip not allowed” …why would you give a generic message that would cost me 2-3 hours of my life trying to diagnose?

Yes it is all Hetzner IPs.

And yes it sucks that there is no indication that using Hetzner is not allowed without searching the forums or searching google. Which as you point out, is just a waste of peoples time.

By now I would have though they could have at least added a note to the install documentation !!!
