HEVC Playback on WebOS2 based LG TV

Hey - I’ve done a bit of digging on here in regards to direct play of HEVC 4k Files on WebOS TV’s and it would appear that it definitely can be done, but I am having an issue in that the server appears to be transcoding the file I am trying to play to H264.

I’ve tried on the most up to date version of the app as well as on the early access build which is now available with no joy on either.

Is there something I am missing in regards to getting this working?

WebOS version is 2.2.1-2142 and the TV is an LG 55UF860V.

Any help much appreciated!

Update: I have just tried Xplay and direct stream works fine on this, which would make me think the native app should definitely support it.

You should be able to direct play hevc video. Is the audio a supported codec too? If not, then the video will be converted to h264.
