Sorry, but there’s already enough noise in this thread, and a new issue, from a new user, with different behavior, is not okay, so do stick to your own thread for that issue!
And posted there, FYI

Observation: that happened for exactly the reason @Attackonzach8210 is complaining about at the start of this topic: Plex ignoring user issues and providing no official support. He posted his remote-access issues two days ago, with logs. He saw someone else getting attention on their topic, and ran over here to post too hoping he would get some response since a mod was actually helping someone.
I know, and there was also a lot of traffic in the other thread, and I was monitoring it, and actually removed one post from it due to bad language used, but since there was a lot of traffic, I hoped the community could handle it.
When said, I’m not a windows dude, and as such, always reluctant to step into a thread with Windows servers, but as said, what I did when he cried out here ![]()
And since it looks like different issues, it’s best to have them in separate threads, to avoid confusion.
And lastly, me been a moderator doesn’t mean I know the answers, I’m simply a Plex user just like the rest of the people up here, just a tad more online in the forums
Sorry, man, just trying to get help anywhere I can since Plex has been radio silent on this and hasn’t even acknowledged the issue and none of the other threads about remote access have offered any solutions. Since my thread is the same, with others chiming in that they have the same problem, I thought I would try here since my thread was getting no traffic. Paying for lifetime with no official support: I must have been out of my mind.
Well. At least you are only paying once. Paying every month for a buggy Plex without getting support is even more wack.
That does give you something to withdraw in a fit of rage.
To me, that option is worth 5 bucks a month…lol
You realize the irony? In order to have something to punish them you are paying them more in the long run …
If Plex is so bad then why not just move on… Cut your losses…
I’m sure there are other alternatives you could use, or create your own.
Call comcast customer service and request that your router/gateway be set to bridge mode.
What irony?
I am paying them more in the long-run, so they’ll be even more heartbroken when I whisk that cash from their grubby paw (I have no illusions that will make any difference at all, but it’ll make me feel better).
Besides, I just cancelled Netflix Streaming (again), so I’ve got $$ to burn!

I’ve had my own problems with Plex over the years. I just had a problem where I couldn’t get remote access to work and I was sure it was Plex’s fault. I was wrong, it was the evil overlords at Comcast and I definitely stand corrected but I’ve been guilty of lashing out also. I think a lot of the frustration comes from the fact that for 99% of the time, Plex works perfectly. When something doesn’t work or is buggy, it sticks out like a sore thumb and can have you pulling your hair out trying to figure out why this one thing just…won’t…work.
And I also cancelled Netflix this month! We’re rolling in it now!
Oh, I forgot - I cancelled Channels DVR too!
(until I Rage Quit Plex - and re-start the subscription)
I’m shopping for a Yacht on Amazon right now.
Can ANYONE please provide insight as to why my Plex Server is not connecting? I’m at my breaking point. Here are my logs:

@Plex @The_Scraggler Please for the love of all that is holy, help me figure out WHY MY PLEX SERVER WILL NOT CONNECT. I paid for a lifetime membership, I feel like that warrants some level of support
Did you try @dane22’s DNS suggestion? I had a look at the posts following it and didn’t see where you responded.
Confirm that you only have one Comcast provided Modem/Router and not using any downstream device? You have gone into the Xfinity settings and disabled the guard like The_Scraggler did.
Wifi is not recommended for servers, disable all other interfaces and the IPV6 on the adapter you are using.

You have conflicting addresses regarding the gateway device. 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.254 are rejecting requests.
I adjusted the DNS address, but it still won’t connect
Here is an updated log:
I just realized that the solution to my problem was posted in my thread, I thought that I posted it here too but I didn’t. Check this solution that worked for me because I see that you have Comcast also. There was something called Xfi Advanced Security enabled on my internet, had no idea what it was or that it even existed. It was identifying every attempt to access my Plex server as a threat. If you haven’t tried it or checked, do these steps:
If this was the problem, you should be able to access it away from your home now. Let me know if it worked. If it didn’t and you need help with changing the settings on your Comcast modem like setting a static IP or enabling port forwarding, let me know and I’ll try to help you out.
Now, with remote access working, it looks like I am not able to access the server remotely. Here are my logs, any help would be appreciatedPlex Media Server Logs_2020-01-29_11-52-49.zip (3.2 MB)
