I meant they have the exact same specs they just have different content
I tried the same thing and I didn’t work at all on the Android TV at all I still think it’s glitchy My friend has a different server and he’s having the same problem too and two others too
If you could tell me exactly what settings I need to have on to make sure it’s working correctly then that would be awesome
The actor listing has nothing to do with the server specs so let’s ignore this for now.
Let’s check if the Discovery feature is even working, check Plex Web
- Use the hosted Web app and search for Tom Hanks. You’ll need to have a movie with Tome Hanks in your server for a later test, so if you don’t have any, use another actor/actress.
- You should see 1 or 2 results, 1 under an Actors section and a 2nd lower down under People.
If you don’t see this, there is something wrong. If you see 2, then move on.
- Use the Android TV app and check the version number from the settings page.
- Search for the same person in the Android TV app.
- You should see 2 results again, similar to Web.
If this works, then we’re on track.
- From the results page, go to a movie with this person.
- Scroll down to the cast list and find the person.
- Click on their image.
Do you see the filmography button?
- If not, it has to be one of the reasons at the bottom of that link I posted earlier causing the filmography info to not show for actors from your movies. Please double check these.
Yeah I hit Tom Hanks I have 35 of his movies and all I see are the movies not Tom Hanks
Could you ask your team of devs to make it where it’s just one simple check mark that you have to check if you want to be able to see that stuff to make it easier instead of all these different ways to fix it just say hey more information on metadata

It’s not that simple. The information is retrieve in a certain way and your server needs to be set up properly. If you’ve followed the guide, then it should work.

i found the problem all i had to do was disable that adalt stuff
That was in the FAQ I mentioned in the beginning. Guess you missed it.

Hey I’m trying to get help out there and nobody’s reading my post but I can’t play my blu-rays that have been on Plex they play for a minute and then they start buffering this happened before and then you guys fix something and then it was fine but now it came back again I need help I can’t deal with this.
