"Hide items which are in collections" not working

All these items are included in the collection, yet, there’re shown in the library view:

I’ve seen this post that seems to be a similar issue:

"Hide items which are in collections" is not working on one library

Have you ever performed a DB repair? It can’t hurt to do it. And it might help solving some inconsistencies.

So, anything to be done to solve it?

Smart collections won’t allow to hide their items. There was some early request for Plex to remove that option from the advanced option if it’s not supported. And there’s a suggestion for smart collections to behave similarly to regular/classic collections.

Really? what the hell? Indeed, why this differentiation, doesn’t make any sense, collections are collections, both smart and regular
This is extremely disappointing, I was about to overhaul my libraries organization with this functionality.

Well… this can still be beneficial.
As an example: I’m not a big fan of the prioritization how items are hidden/displayed if they’re members of multiple collections with conflicting visibility settings. It can be helpful that smart collections don’t mess with another collection being configured to hide an item.
