High CPU for Player when Idle

My plex player is using >35% CPU just idling. I’m not playing anything. It’s just open. This is ridiculous. What is causing this and why is it taking so long to be fixed?

This is useless for my Surface Pro laptop. Battery drain is so fast, I can’t watch a single movie in full and the Surface is so hot, I can’t hardly hold it.
