Hi. I have a problem with my photo libraries: high res images can be seen only in preview mode/miniatures, but it is not possible to open them in full resolution. This issue is valid for all my devices… Nvidia Shield app, iPhone, iPad, PC, laptops, web-app as well. Photos made with iPhone can be opened without problems, but all the photo made e.g. with a reflex camera cannot be opened. How to fix this, please? Is there a max limit in resolution? If yes, is there a transcoding feature for pictures? Where? (Plex Server is installed on my Nvidia Shield, latest version). Thank you
How large are the image files on the storage drive? Plex has a default limit of approximately 100MB. That can be changed, but only do so if necessary, and don’t increase it much beyond what you actually need. It can affect performance. The setting to look for is TranscoderPhotoFileSizeLimitMiB.
Hi! Not that big. They are around 2-15MB. One example: 2MB with resolution 3504x2336. Another example: 13,5MB with resolution 5760x3840. I think the issue is more related to the resolution. Any parameter applicable for max image resolution? Thank you very much
I have higher-res images than that, and Plex has no trouble with them. What’s the image format (JPG, TIFF, DNG)?
They are JPG images.
