HISENSE 50U7QF - Massive problems / issues

Are you working on an update that will finally fix PLEX and be able to use it on this tv (HISENSE 50U7QF) ?

  • Out of Memory crashing
  • Green Artifacts (wrong video decoder?)
  • Image smoothness problems (too small memory buffer?)

Playback problems are on all file types .mkv x264 x265 hdr and not in hdr, big files and small, but the biggest problems are with high bitrate files (4k hdr).

  • The latest TV and PLEX update is installed.
  • The TV has been reset to factory settings.
  • PLEX is installed by Hisense and cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled.
  • TV memory wipe was performed several times.
  • Other applications and video playback work fine, problems only occur with PLEX application.
  • Through the connected external player with the plex application, the films work properly.
  • On an LG TV connected to the same home network and plex server, all movies work correctly and smoothly.

The problem must be with the built-in plex app.

PLEX: 5.29.1
Platform: V0000.01.00L.L1103
Renderer: WebGL

I can’t use PLEX for several months (since I bought the TV)
Please answer when can we expect a repair update?

the same bugs are still present after updating to the latest version (5.30.1).

even on a paused movie, it crashes.
takes a long time to load movies.
the picture is stuttering all the time.
plex is not working.

but you know that the built-in plex application on this tv model still doesn’t work. will there be a fix of your application on this model someday?

there is still an image problem after the latest update.

HEVC codec movies have a shredded image. movies with the x264 codec are slow, the picture is not smooth.

I did not notice the memory problem.

movies still not working on the latest TV software and “plex” application. 1080p videos don’t run smoothly, 4k videos have shredded image.

No changes for me, I can not use the built-in PLEX application, the movies do not run smoothly, the content download behaves weird you can see it on the network charts, it looks like there is a problem with the plex buffer/player all the time

another update and once again some livetv nonsense added.

when will you fix the playback problems so i can use “plex” on hisense tv ???
