I can’t watch any film/video on h265, the sound work but the video is black. I have this problem only with plex , if i reproduce the same file directly (via usb) they work perfectly.
Server and tv both connected on ethernet (1GBs cable).
The app needs an update correcting bugs but it seems that it never arrives
when you go to watch this movie that wont play. rather then click on the resume playback or the play from the begining. click on the more option and untick both direct streaming and direct playing then play it and let me know if it works. i had the same issue and unticking those 2 options make plex transcode the video so it should then work.
Hi all, having the exact same issue! It seems that the TV is having trouble encoding/decoding h.265 and hevc files. Full 1080p seems to work fine.
Can both hisense and Plex please work together and look to getting an update to fix this issue
same here on 55U8QF, can’t play any high bitrate/HDR HEVC files. The image is buggy/artifacting like crazy and sometimes the app even crashes “due to lack of memory”
Also I don’t see movie coverimages etc
i am almost having the same issues. my issue is i have never seen a movie or tv or any album covers on my hisense tv. removed old tv everything working normally , installed new hisese tv and had nothing but issues, nearly all issues fixed except this bloody album art covers. but if you click on a movie or tv show the artwork is working in the background, go back out of the movie or tv show and still no album art covers. i dont get it.
ps. i have updated to the newer agents as well in settings. both the movie agent and the tv sgent
