Here’s what I was able to find out.
Plex is working with Hisense to make the app more widely available, but availability is currently limited to US and Europe.
A separate thread mentions a limited number of users in Australia have been able to install it.
The holdup is on Hisense’s side. Plex is waiting on them. Unfortunately, there is no timeline when the Plex app will be available in other countries.
So, as of today, you would need to use an external streaming device (Shield, AppleTV, Roku, etc), to watch Plex on a Hisense TV in South Africa.
