  1. Is a Lifetime Subscription actually a Lifetime or does it have an expiration date? Just wondering because I’ve bought lifetime subscriptions in the past and they would expire after 5-6 years; if you’re lucky 10 years.

  2. Are they still giving sales on the Lifetime Subscription?

  1. I bought a lifetime almost 5 years ago. It is indeed lifetime.
  2. I can only suggest keeping on the mailing list for what the sales/marketing dept sends out.

But I suspect your upgrade to a life time pass will not expire cause Plex isn’t putting alot of new resources into PMS…

I do count. I paid for mine long before I became a team member. Should I ever leave Plex, I’m still a lifetime PlexPass holder. :smiley:

I know much you don’t know.

But really. I’m not trying to be difficult or have anything against you but just saying that your PlexPass was purchase a long time ago and maybe, two or three years after that you began to help with support as a TeamMember on this site.
To compare your membership with the populous would almost be as bad as a random employee jumping on this wagon stating the same thing.
I don’t know the wisdom of the dev team and higher ups but I (if it was me) would offer you a free PP membership not only to say thanks for helping out BUT at the very least be able to troubleshoot PlexPass only issues.

Since we’re measuring. Do you have a signed NDA with Plex ?

I had my plex pass before becoming a Ninja. You left out I had left for almost 3 years before becoming a ninja too.

Now how much do you think you know?

But, while we are here. In your years of experience, have you every heard of anyone’s plexpass expiring?

The Lifetime PP does not expire. I suppose it can expire if Plex itself expires.

As Achilles stated,

Lifetime does not expire unless Plex itself ‘expires’.
Each renewable subscription either expires or renews at the predefined anniversary interval.

Hey Guys
What’s the best way to be sure to be notified next time Plex suggest its life time pass to special price ?
I missed an opportunity at the beginning of my plex experience, than tried to contact customer service.
Plex said that they do not know when and who can access to these offers.
Still paying my subscription monthly, but will be happy to go on a life time license :slight_smile:

Well they lowered the price to $119 for Lifetime which is a excellent deal it’s only $40 more than the cheapest offer that they offered previously a long long time ago by the time you keep doing monthly or yearly you could have paid for Plex pass lifetime Plus any Plex pass you have on your account goes towards the purchase price so if you have $40 worth of Plex pass you just purchased you can subtract that from the $119 and pay the difference for the lifetime and it’s $30 cheaper than what it used to be
