It seems that every time I log into the plex server it defaults to admin access. If I refresh the screen or anything then it goes to the home user selection works but it seems like a major hole where someone can just logout and back in to get admin rights. Is there a way to turn this off?

Sounds like you have Auto Login turned ON!!! Turn it off!!! I have it turned on in my Bedroom because it’s only me logging in there. In the family room it’s OFF so it goes to the login page and you have to log in there. If you pause it or it’s not doing something, then after a few minutes of just sitting it’ll log you out automatically and you have to log back in to continue. You need to go into the settings on the Client Plex you’re using and turn off the Auto-login.

Do you mean logging in from this page? If so, this is by design. Only you as the admin should know your login info, so when you log in, it is expected you are the admin so it skips the user selector.

Yes, that’s the screen. I setup a 2nd account just to use for the family but it still skips the user selection.
Did you create a full Plex account or a managed user? If it is a full account, log in using that account and it will select that user after logging in. If it is a managed user, they do not have the ability to authenticate a client so you have to log in with your admin account and it will auto select the admin user.
Now, why is it always asking for your log in? Do you have your browser set to clear cookies when you close the browser?
