Plex user has to log in every time the Plex app start on Apple TV

Hello,

One Plex Home user has to log in using username and password every time she launch the Plex app.

The menu item “Automatically Sign in” is not available on her user (but it is on mine as admin). The first menu that appears is “Top Shelf”

Please advice.

“Automatically Sign In” is by design only available to the admin.
The idea is for you to enable it, then switch to the desired user (given you’re the admin).

If they need to login requiring your credentials, something else is wrong.

I see…

It looks like just logging off and then back in again seem to have fixed the issue…

Still investigating.

Just to make sure: this is a “full user account” (not a managed user)?
What happens if this user is logging in to app.plex.tv there removes the Apple TV device and links the device again via plex.tv/link ?

No, this is a managed user under my own account.

For some reason the problem seem to have been resolved by just logging out and back in.
