I may have the versions swapped, not sure which is sever / player. Plex updated and something changed the way the thumbnails are displayed for “Recently Added in Movies”. All the other rows have a vertical rectangular thumbnail (standing up), but the Added Movie section are now laying down (landscape), they take up too much room this way.
I suspect something was changed under the left panel Movies / Manage Library / Edit / Advanced with in the (3) dropdown windows, Scanner, Agent, and Visibility.
Can anyone please tell me what the default settings are for these (3) settings.

Good guess.
You may have changed the Agent setting to “Personal Media”, which turns your movie library into a library of the type “Other Videos”.

You should not change the agent willy-nilly. It might be a one-way street in some cases.
Your best bet is to restore a database backup from before the setting was changed.
