Hi, I have added a family member's plex account (no pass) to my server (with pass).

 

My understanding from the recent release announcement for Xbox was that the family member should be able to use the xbox 360 app?

 

Right now, I can only login via PIN, and there is no way to switch user accounts in the app (at least not that I could find any).

 

So, is a home user login of someone without a plex pass allowed to use the xbox 360 app to view content of a server with plex pass they have been invited to?

What you read was the Xbox One release notes. This allows members of plex home (plex.tv account, not managed) to connect their account with their xbox live account. There has been no update for the xbox 360 to my knowledge.

Are there actually separate release notes for 360? Doesn't seem like it.

Are the apps actually different, or "only" requiring independent release authorizations from Microsoft for each platform?

The Xbox One just got the release notes when the update was released, I'm guessing the same will be true when the Xbox 360 app gets an update.

I would assume they are separate apps given the different hardware architectures.
