Home screen empty

After I rebuilt the library as it seems I had a corrupt DB, now on the plex web app I do not have anything on my home screen.

I clicked on the edit pencil but nothing there either and when it says to click on the little +, I can’t find that anywhere.

When I use my ip address to connect to the server, I seem to get the older version of plex but I do have stuff on the home screen and seems to work fine. Although it seems that I still have the old version of the server even though I have updated to version.

So The questions I have are:

  1. How do I get content back on my home screen mainly all I would like is On deck for all my library and continue watching.
  2. Why does my server still seem to run the older version of plex where there is no customisation and I still have the plugins working.

Thank you

Scroll all the way down for a quick way to repopulate your home screen.

There is nowhere to scroll down to and I did read that article but I have nothing that it shows in that article.

I don’t have anything in the edit box and when I click on restore home screen nothing happens. On the home screen is nothing to scroll its totally empty.

Close all web browser windows except one and call up this URL: app.plex.tv

Ok tried that and got the same nothing on home screen and seems no options to add stuff.

Yes, but with this version you should be able to follow the linked article

I had the same exact problem and had a post here originally detailing the problem. I was able to fix this by going to a Library (such as Movies), clicking on “Recommended”, and then adding the row I wanted to the home screen by clicking the plus sign over it.

I had exactly the same problem as above. this fixed it for me. Thanks.

FYI: I had remastered my PC, and in the process rebuilt my library. I updated, changed, removed and juggled old, dirty references to the old library and ended up in this sorry state.

One click of the button sorted it out.
