Running version 4.26.1 according to the general page under Plex Web. I’m assuming that’s the web app version (seeing the issue in both chrome and firefox)
From the General settings under the server, the version says 1.18.7.2457.
Running on Unraid in a docker container. Restarting didn’t help.
In the month since I first posted, Plex has (again) completely stopped working on my Terramaster NAS. This had been the third time I’d set it up. Each time it works for a few weeks before things start to fall apart, and eventually descends into ‘server not found’ .
I’ve now given up trying to run Plex on the Terramaster and have switched to Emby, which appears to be working fine.
A few points:
The Terramaster NAS is working perfectly. Several of their support team spent hours with me the second time Plex fell over, back in December, installing Plex updates and generally checking things out. The NAS is working without any glitches.
My original Plex installation running on a separate Windows 10 mini pc is also working fine, and has been for several years. But I bought the NAS as an all-in-one solution, as I don’t want to keep relying on the mini PC.
I bought the Terramaster NAS as it was recommended by Plex.
I have been a Plex Pass member for several years, so am disappointed by the complete absence of any support or even interest from Plex in this issue. I will find it difficult to recommend Plex to anyone else as a result.
I’ve wasted a huge amount of time and energy getting my extensive collection set up (several times) on Plex, and now again on Emby. Assuming Emby works, I will be abandoning Plex and looking forward to getting on with my life!
