Plex for Windows app not showing content on home page

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5282
Player Version#: 1.39.1.2763-300bb607
Plex for Windows

So having a weird issue with specifically the Plex for windows app, this does not happen on any other app (tested on Apple TV, Web, iOS, and Windows Home Theater Plex App).

For every other app I get to choose the server I want as the main one and it’s just right there on the home page. However in the Plex for Windows App my server doesn’t show up on the home page and I need to go to “More >” to find it. Everything seems to work fine when accessing it this way so it’s not urgent or anything but am curious why it’s being weird.

Have tried reinstalling the app but seems to have no effect. Searched around but didn’t seem to find anyone with this exact issue, just people having trouble accessing their server altogether

This is expected behavior. This lets you choose which libraries appear on the home page. The other Plex apps have similar methods to accomplish this.

After you choose More >, pin the desired libraries (see pic below). They will then appear on your home page.

You can also choose Reset Customization in Settings → Plex for Windows → General (Show Advanced). This restarts the customization process. You can pick the preferred server and which libraries appear on the home page.

Aaah ok, I was trying this whole time to just pin the whole server, never thought to try pinning the individual categories. Thanks for the help!

So here’s another slightly related question, ios it possible to get things like the continue watching category onto the homepage in this version?

The “Continue Watching” hub should be the only one to show on the home page no matter what. Though it’ll only show content from pinned libraries.

You can control what other hubs to show on the home screen (or the library recommended tabs) using the Manage Recommendations functionality.

Ah, seems I had to restart the app after adding the libraries for it to show up. Thanks! Silly mistake.
