Please tell me how can I remove the home screen and have it default to one of my pinned sources instead?
Or how can I have one of my pinned sources library be the home screen with no recommendations, recently viewed or recently added. Just my pinned source library only.
Thanks.
Plex spent the last 5 years going through several attempts of making the Home useful and they found a equal balance with what we have now. Not everyone was satisfied with how the first iteration was. Then people complained that everything was mashed together. Then there was complaints about how everything was separated.
Plex found certain granularity but apparently satisfied enough to cool everyone down. Now you want one specific library loaded on the home page. I truly don’t know how much your one vote will count but I highly doubt this will ever see daylight because the outcry has subsided. People wanted one home page front and center for easy access to recently viewed, recently added and other content from other libraries.
Plex went back and forth and honestly, I wish they don’t touch it for a while. It took wayyyyy too long and there was so much outrage at the time, that Plex dropped all other projects to focus on this issue just to try to please everyone. Now, I just want that freaking home left alone for the time being. There are tons of other stuff they need to concentrate on.
While this may not be entirely what you’re asking for, this was the result of a huge upset and months of pitchforks out from users a few years ago. I don’t want to go back to that mess.
All comments about how to configure the Home Screen and to adjust it to your needs… there’s already an existing feature suggestion thread asking for an option to remove/skip the Home Screen for good. I therefore suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes (which will only decrease the chances of those suggestions to gain attention).
