Home user continue watching is not per account

I have three home users, 1 admin and 2 users the continued watching for each account is not correct as it’s like it’s shared for all the account(all the account have pins) I have tested and the kids tv shows always appear on the other two accounts. The kids account only has access to kids TV shows so they continue watching doesn’t have things that I have started to watch where is the other standard user account does and my shows are in that continue watching as well.

Is there a solution for this?

Hmm, we might need to look deeper into this. I use 3 managed users, while the admin account stays un-used. All 3 managed accounts have unique Continue Watching queues and “Watched” states for all my media. So what you are reporting is not what I see in my account.

How many devices do you overall use Plex on? Could it be one of the kids’ devices (iPad, iPhone, etc) they may use to watch shows on might be logged into the wrong account? Just spitballin’ an idea here…

So after having a look again this morning, when the main tv is playing on any account it shows as a user(local) I do have the setting to not authenticate users on the local network as my internet is not the most stable recently and I wanted to be able to still use plex when the internet is down.

The local user only looks to be used on 1 of three tvs in the the house. And not on other devises in the house

To answer your question about number of devises I user as clients it’s 8

For me it’s 3 devises
1 kids iPad
And 3 shared TV’s

So I think I have figured out what is going on,

on my new TV I think me(or wife) clicked sign in with google on Plex and as my server is set up with the local network to have no auth due to intermittent internet that the server has been detected and connected to and the home user account are available to sign in with like normal(inc the user pins) this then looks like its set up correctly. I have signed out and back in correctly and have dose a quick test and it looks to be working correctly.

I will continue to test over the weekend and then update to confirm this has corrected the issue.
