Hi I have 2 NAS. one Mycloud Home that is Media Server, and another NAS Mycloud. and i would like to add it to Plex.
The Mycloud devices don’t support what is necessary to incorporate the files from a second NAS device into one and the same server.
They are too restricted and locked-down (this is a product decision made by WD, not by Plex).
All you can do is to set up a second Plex server on the second NAS and use your already existing plex.tv username and password to do so. Both servers will be available in your Plex clients.
I have plex account due to my home cloud that becomes with plex. do i need to buy an account?
Or can you give me a Step by Step on how to add it?
Sorry, what do you mean?
There is no need to buy anything at this time.
You have a username (or an email address) and a password, which you are using to login on plex.tv (You definitely have these, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to write in this forum).
It is these which you should be using when you set up the second NAS device.
Can i bother you with a step by step?
Sorry, no. I don’t have any direct experience with these WD machines.
I can only give you generic advice.
It helps to switch off your first NAS device, while you are trying to set up your second device. You might wanna use your web browser’s ‘private mode’ to do so.
I know that you can use agents, is correct? but in the plex console the agents point to one nas, how can i add agents? and pointing them to the second nas directory.
This has nothing to do with agents.
