Howto add several NAS to a plex server running on a WD Mycloud

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171
Player Version#:
I have only simple requirements, but do not manage to fulfill them.
I have several NAS running (several WD MyCloud/MyCLoudEX/MyCloudEXUltra and some Buffalo Linkstations). All of them have movies on them.
I thought Plex could be an option to have one server which manages all and gives the user (almost 1 only) on the TV the opportunity to find the movie by title on ALL the NAS instead looking thru all of them by a paper list or something like that…

So I installed the plex server on one of the MyCloud NAS thru the GUI of the mycloud management server. it works fine, I can see the movies on the TV-plex app.
Now I want to add the files of the next NAS (WDMycloud) to the plex server. But it does not work.
I added a folder like
\WDMYCLOUD\Public\Videos\
but if searching this for media, no one is found.

Is it a (network?) configuration problem?

Or Is it a general failure that it does not work on WDMyCloud Devices (as I imagine by reading some, but old, post in this forum?)

If yes: I have to create a Rasberry server (I do not have something yet) ?
Or is there a different NAS which is able to run a plex server AND add files from different devices ?

Considering the WD MyCloud only allows the addition of the “official” media folders, you’ll be out of luck.

WD MyCloud is the only platform I’m aware of that has this restriction. Other NAS platforms allow Plex to point to a variety of different folders, creating different libraries per media-type or adding multiple folders to the same library (same as with a dedicated server).
