How can I limit the maximum bandwidth that Plex will use for remote access?

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3795
Player Version#: Various

I primarily use Plex on my home LAN, but I am trying out sharing my Plex server with someone outside my home. How can I place limits on how much bandwidth Plex will allow per stream and/or in total for all streams, only on remote connections, to ensure that Plex does not monopolize my connection?

I have seen this topic in forum discussions and Plex documentation, saying to go to Settings -> Remote Access to configure bandwidth limits. However, I can find no such settings even when the advanced settings are toggled on and visible.

Has the app changed? Am I missing something? Is this a Plex Pass only feature?

Settings > remote access > Limit remote stream bitrate

It’s there! But I believe that won’t stop multiple users from streaming. Probably plex will transcode to fit all the streamings within that bitrate limit, which will consume cpu or gpu.
You can also limite the number of streams per user on settings > network.

I could be wrong.

As CostaHT has stated:

  1. Settings - Remote Access
    -and-
  2. Settings - Network - Remote streams per user

Plex Pass required.

Ok, I thought that might have been the case. Thank you for your answer!
