Hi there, i have been trying to sort this out for hours now and nothing seems to work, there are apparently a number of “Export” playlist info guides and whilst i am sure they are useful its not terribly helpful to me if i cant then restore them. There are guides that talk about backup but i cant see those options, all the tools i can find export but cant import.
So i have two working Plex Media Servers running on two sperate boxes, i have duplicated the shared drives so they are looking at the exact same folder structure.
On server 1 i have a number of playlists
I want to move or copy these to server 2
The Shares are exactly the same /mnt/data/ on both boxes
I have tried manually copying the Plex-Media-Server/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/ data to the new box, didnt work. I suspect this might be because the playlist is pointing to a UID? which is obviously different on the new box.
I dunno, but this seems to be a complete pain in the ■■■■, the really annoying thing is that just the other day i was going on about how good Plex is but i really really cant be arsed to setup playlists covering days of music only to have to do it again should i ever need to move a server again. This is a potential make or break situation here, if i have to restore it all manually then i might as well do it on a platform that is less challenging
Server 1 is a container on a proxmox box
Server 2 is a container on unraid
So, before i lose the rag, can anyone help,?
