I recently duplicated my Plex Media Server on another computer. I followed all the instructions, but it really didn’t work and it ended up just repopulating all my media if it was a new server. It’s all fine and dandy, but one thing I am missing is the playlists I have on my other server. These are video playlists (not music) if that makes a difference. Is there anyway to move them over or get my new Plex Media Server to read them from the back up files? Both servers are still functional, just at separate locations under different names. Thanks for any help.
I’m in the same boat. 2 months later, no posts on it. I take it that there isn’t a way to do this?
I did read that. it was too complicated for me. So I already uploaded not only what was on previous server (Mac), but 1TB more content on my Synology DS916+ NAS. All I want now are the music playlists. By following this article now, won’t it do more than just add my playlists?
ok, thanks for response. Not a big deal to remake my playlists. Was just hoping for an easy drag-n-drop. Yep, I do NOT have the Microsoft/Linux frame of mind to tackle commands. I try to avoid anything that’s not point n click, lol!
