So, I’m trying to upload subtitles I downloaded to use on media that’s shared with me.
But when I do, I get errors. This is on Win10 app. What needs to be done?
I’ve tried looking for documentation but can’t find anything applicable to this situation.

That post about it being not possible was very old and before we added the feature. If not working then there is a bug. Unless your friends server does not have permissions to write files to filesystem. But it adds subtitle to its own database so that is very unlikely as server would not really work at all then
What type of subtitle was it? Were you using “drag drop” or did you lick the “choose a file” in that window?
Both methods returned same results.
Should I have my friend that owns the server verify these steps?
No those are for subtitles he is adding to the folder directly. The upload works differently. It would probably be good if he can check if he can use upload feature fine. To see if it is just a shared user problem or an app problem
ok does seem to be a bug with shared users uploading.
