I’d like to have an app that works better than the app from 2016-2024 rather than an app that has more issues in 2025 than it did in 2020? Why do so many of us give you people money if you won’t do what’s really needed to fix your android experience?
I use Plex on 3 platforms - pc which is almost flawless. Android TV which feels like I’m in the year 2019. And Android, casting to a Chromecast. I never watch anything on my phone’s screen, because watching a movie or anything longer than 3 minutes on a 6 inch device is literally insane unless your actually on-the-go, then you just gotta make due with what you got.
The fact that I have to re-cast every 5-10 minutes after locking my phone, and having less options related to streaming quality or any other options like I’m living in the years of the early Internet back in my teenage years, is crazy. Where are all my options?? Why do I only have the option to select CC if it’s available? Why can’t I download CC like I could before? Why can’t I choose the screen direct ratio it the stream quality or the sound file line I used to be able to? Why are there so many less options for a paying customer than there used to be? Like where the hell is going on with this company right now?
Do you guys even care about your customers or long term user base? Is it all about ads and profit? What do you guys actually represent anymore? Do you guys care about your origins or just about the fact you could make another dolar somewhere? What makes you different? One click installs? Or fantastic user experiences?
What do you guys think will happen when something like jellyfin becomes just as easy to set up and use as your service, but for free, and still more private? You guys gonna back track like crazy? Why not stay ahead of the curve? Just get your crap together right now so you don’t fall apart in the near future. I’ve been a fan for literally a decade. Get your crap together, please!
Sorry to come off so aggressive, but to be honest, I’m just kinda frustrated that my experience using your service while paying for it has declined over the years, I’m not used to having something I bought into emotionally enough to pour money into world get worse rather become better. Please, just listen to your user base and be better then you’ve been, become the service we all believed you would eventually become. I’ve chosen to pay a monthly subscription for 10+ years not because I didn’t want to pay you guys 200 bucks to have a lifetime pass, but because I believed in you his and knew a monthly disruptive would provide you with more income in the long term. Not only have you increased my donation to you, but you’ve decreased my experience with you.
Help me help you. Give me reasons to convince people I know you are the one they should go to for in home local media experiences.
