How do I automatically get trailers and extras for movies and shows?

Hey,

I have tried the instructions given on the Plex support documentation, but nothing works. All the agents are set properly, and all my settings are also set properly. When I do a full refresh on my library, I do not get any trailers. Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

Can you refresh 1 movie then provide me the entire PMS log package from Settings \ Server \ Help?

Also, provide me the XML for the movie once the refresh is done.

I have refreshed Snowden as a friend of mine has a bunch of extras from that particular movie, and I receive nothing.

I attached the xml, and also the zipped logs.

Sorry, didn’t see you had uploaded the logs I had asked for. Looking now. Will get back to you when I find something.

Sorry for not getting back to your sooner, had to check on something. It appears there is a bug with the version of PMS you are using that is preventing some metadata from being retrieved. I can’t tell exactly if this is your problem, but I do see the error that is caused by the bug.

In the meantime, can you check something. Edit the library, then go to the advanced tab and scroll down a bit. Is the option Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required) enabled?

Thanks for getting back to me! This is unfortunate :frowning: Yes I do have that setting enabled. Hopefully this will get fixed soon!

I wonder if this is my issue as well, I have been having issues for a bit here, no newer movies I add will get extras or trailers, used to work perfect.

So is there a bug in the newest server version? Anyone else having issues with this besides darkkolt and I?

There is a bug on certain linux based devices. If you look in your PMS logs and see an error related to “SSLWrap”, then you have the bug. This will be addressed in a future PMS update. If you have this issue and don’t see that error, it might be a different issue.

I just looked through my logs and I do see errors relating to SSLWrap so I guess I have figured out it is not a setting issue lol.

This was just fixed in Version 1.3.4.3285 (freeBSD). I am getting extras now! Thanks for the help!

Well I just uninstalled everything and then reinstalled to a new fresh folder and it seems to be working now on 1.3.4.3285, I am now getting trailers and extras.

I’m having the same issue…all the settings have been checked and rechecked. i’m using PMS on a Thecus NAS n7700prov2 with Version 3.20.5 (PlexMediaServer_1.8.4.4249-3497d6779_x64)
