Just started doing this after I updated this morning. Can anyone confirm adding new media or refreshing old media results in extras being added despite disabled in library settings?
I’m not able to reproduce. I have a movie library using the Plex Agent (Legacy). It has trailers and extras. I turn the setting off, refresh the movie, and the trailers and extras went away. Refresh again, they did not come back. I then switched the library to the new agent. Refreshed the movie, still no extras. Enable the feature, refresh, I see extras. Turn it off, refresh again, no extras.
Sorry should have disclosed I am using the new Movie Agent. I repeated the steps and still have the issue.
Can you toggle the setting then refresh something and get me the logs? I’m not able to reproduce.

Thanks for helping. Here are the logs. I did a total media refresh, extras setting was off and it still downloaded extras information. I then toggled it on, refreshed again and the refreshed with it off.
@anon18523487 Did you get a chance to look over my logs? I still can’t get rid of extras no mater what I try.
Sorry. Missed your last message. After a quick look I see it scanning some animated films (Finding Dory, The Good Dinosaur, The Incredibles) and none of these show that trailers/extras are being looked up.
To be clear, you are changing the setting in the edit page for the library, right? Not the global one under agent settings?
I see in the log where you entered the edit page for the old Plex Movie (Legacy) agent but not for the new one. Your library appears to be using the new agent.
@anon18523487 that is correct here are some pics of my library settings and the extras I can’t get rid of. I have toggled the find extras on and off refreshing the media after every change.
Oh strange. I can reproduce today but I couldn’t the other day. Now that I can reproduce, let me see if I can figure out what’s going on.

Looks like one of the devs also noticed this recently and a fix is already being worked on.

As of the PMS beta release 1.20.3.3483 this morning the issue persists.

Most likely won’t be out until 1.20.4.

To resolve the issue will a metadata rescan be necessary once 1.20.4 comes out with a fix?
Probabaly, but I haven’t seen the fix yet so not sure.
Fixed with todays 1.20.4 beta release. It did require a meta data refresh.
