I have absolutely no use for the Popular Tracks feature. It just takes up space in my browser and iOS app. How can I disable or hide this section?
Edit your Library, go to the Advanced tab, and uncheck the option for Popular Tracks.
This may not take effect immediately. You may need to refresh the library.
@beckfield I don’t have that option. The only options I have are “Include in dashboard” and “Use embedded tags”.
Hmm, I don’t get it then. That option should be present for basic or premium music libraries.
What version of Plex Web and Plex Media Server are you running?

I think you just need to scroll down.
Unfortunately unchecking that option and then refreshing the library didn’t work. I still see the popular tracks section for every artist.

You may have to do the Plex Dance. (Plex has a long-standing problem where it can’t seem to do a complete refresh on libraries. It’s been around so long that the workaround has earned this name. So far, they don’t seem embarrassed enough by this to fix it.)
Thank you @beckfield for linking over to the Plex Dance steps. That did the trick!
