I’ve set Generate credits video markers to Never but it’s still displaying it.
On a side note, how many people would want to have this feature instead of being able to skip to the next episode? It doesn’t really make sense.
I think if they’ve already been generated you have to turn it off in the individual library settings

This can be adjusted when creating or editing a library, under the Advanced tab. If Enable credits detection is disabled, then content from that library will not be included for analysis. Disabling for the library will also prevent the skip credits button from appearing and any skip credits behavior such as minimizing even if the markers have already been detected

It looks like it worked after I restarted the server. I’ve also disabled the Credits Detection manually for each library as a precaution.
Unfortunately, the Next Episode option hasn’t appeared. Any ideas on how to enable it, or does it only work with certain TV series?
Do you mean the Auto Play feature where I just continues automatically to the next episode?
I’m not sure what app you’re using or if some apps don’t have that function
On android tv or HTPC you have to enabled Auto Play in the settings

App Settings
Most apps that display the Post Play screen for you will also let you adjust an Auto Play preference in the app. This preference controls whether the app will automatically advance (after a countdown) to the next video in the queue or if it will simply wait on the Post Play screen for you to make a choice (or exit out).
While this may work, it’s terrible UX. It seems to be a hack dependent on a bug. Disabling the future generation of credit markers on the server is not the same thing as erasing existing ones or disabling the “pop into the inlay at the credit marker” feature on all players.
The way this should work seems obvious:
- At the server level, you can disable credit detection (and intro detection) which reduces resource consumption to some degree.
- At the player level, you can disable the automatic picture-in-picture inlay functionality when the credit marker is reached.
- Some users want (2) by way of a server setting. I wouldn’t object to it as a feature but it violates the obvious places you’d expect settings to be. Users on multiple servers would have inconsistent experiences specific to their player depending on the server, which makes little sense to me. It could perhaps be an account-specific setting, though.
The PiP thing is extremely annoying to many people as evidenced here on these forums and on the Plex subreddit and it is silly we have to change only-tangentially-related server settings for what should be a properly labeled setting on the player.
No, the auto-play feature is functioning, but it takes too long waiting for the credits to end until this works.
I was talking about the option to skip to the next episode when the credits start to roll.
