latest server for windows build, latest iphone plex app.
i’m in my music collection of 200+ songs, i can’t seem to find a way to download them to my iphone. I used playlists in the past and used sync that worked. when i’m in the music collection i touch the “…” and only see shuffle and add to playlist ?? I’m completely lost how am I supposed to download this music collection to my iphone so that is can access the songs while away from home and not having internet connection back to my plex server ?? fyi, i moved away from playlists to collections a while back.
Hence the problem. i installed plexamp touched the library icon the once that looks like a music note… only collections listed are Artists and Albums!! I guess i don’t understand why i wasted all this time and more time creating a “collection of songs” if Song Collections are not valid use anywhere , such as for Downloads (my original issue) and now it seems for plexamp as well :(, this really sucks plex!!!
i was moving away from playlists to collections. I only moved to collections in the past few months, and i can contest that I was able to Download my collection of songs when i did. I just recently, last weekend, had to remove my collection of songs from my iphone for a specific reason. then now i am trying to add them back to Downloads on my iphone but can’t seem to remember or find how i was able to do it months ago. unless the 2 or 3 newer builds i’ve gone to in the past few months, since moving to collections, has removed this capability for collection of songs. and sorry i am not saying Plex sucks, i’m just saying it sucks that i was able to do this and now not I was expecting to be able to get them right back into downloads after i temporarily removed them from downloads on my iphone. oh one more thing, reason i like collections is I can just tell my family/friends that access plex remotely to always go to Collections for whatever , movies, tv, music etc… and not have split between both playlists and collections, that’s just my personal preference i guess.
well, what do i do ? this used to work :(… i guess the only solution is to turn my Song Collection into a playlist, then i can download them to my phone in case i lost internet when i’m out and about. then when i add new music i now “have to add music to both my collection and my playlist” for songs… smh
