How do I fix The Daily Show?

Your EPG apparently thinks “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah” is a new show, now in Season 2, replacing “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”. This matches what my local broadcaster, CTV, thinks: http://www.ctv.ca/The-Daily-Show-with-Trevor-Noah

But Comedy Central thinks “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” is “The Daily Show” with a host specified, and is now in season 22: http://www.cc.com/shows/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah/episode-guide

I Did “Fix Incorrect match”, and then my DVRed ep was in the right show, but the wrong season. Then I renamed the file to get it into the right season. So that one file is right. But I’m guessing I’ll get an unpleasant surprise tonight.

How can I fix this long-term?

Bring Jon Stewart back?

Well, then my local broadcaster would probably think we were in season 1 of “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart”. :frowning: Or maybe Season 3? Or 21? None of these would be good.

Was there ever a solution to this? This has been bugging me for awhile. The Daily Show thinks we’re on Season 2 with date and guest data from 1997, not 2017. I don’t even know where to start to fix this which is why I came here. Any updates?

I wrote a shell script that renames the file to the correct show/season, and scheduled it to run every night. By the time I woke up, Plex had re-recognized it with the correct name. (This was a regular cron job, not a post-processing script.)

I am having this problem too - does anyone have a script they could share for Windows? Or is there a way to report problems with the EPG? I record every new episode and it occurs every time (season 2 and now season 3).
